Before dealing with dance professionally Katalin studied 5 years literature and linguistics at the University of Szeged-Hungary where she recently received a Master degree. She received a BA in 2008 at the Anton Bruckner University, Austria, where she studied contemporary dance, classical ballet and pedagogy. She was giving workshops and performing her own works in festivals in India, Mexico, Poland, Croatia and Hungary. She has worked with Akos Hargitay, SUPERAMAS, Eszter Salamon, Michael Klien and Yoshiko Chuma. Recently she finished a one year residency in Daghdha Mentoring Program in Limerick, Ireland. In 2008 she received the danceWEB Enhanced Scholarship for Contemporary Dance and till then she is the member of the international dance artists’ collective: ‘Embassy of’ that is asked to curate the Movement Research Festival in New York in the year 2011.
